Xbox live gold price increase

    Microsoft has recently announced a planned price increase for their Xbox live gold service, staring November 1st.

    The yearly rate will be increased from $50, to $60. Until then, they are offering a one time discount of $40 for a year– (Note: This offer has now expired)

    Microsoft also plans on adding

    1. Kinect video chat. Chat with friends using kinect, no controller or headset requires. Naturally, this requires Kinect, which is priced at $150.

    2. Hulu integration: Allows you to watch television shows on your computer such Burn notice, Psych, Royal pains, America’s Got Talent, Naruto Shippuden, Family guy and much more. Requires Hulu Plus membership at $10 per month.

    3. ESPN integration: Watch sports and highlights from ESPN. You must have a provider affiliated with ESPN in order to participate. Go to affiliates list for a full list.
