Sony announced in a press release shortly following their E3 press conference that the PlayStation 4 had sold more than 60 million units. Sony also mentioned that including digital and physical games, they had sold more than 487 million total software titles. Sony also reported that the PlayStation ecosystem had more than 70 million monthly active users and that 37.7% of those (or 26.4 million) are subscribers to PlayStation Plus.

Additionally, they mentioned that the PS4 Pro, their version of the PS4 released last year with improved hardware made up 20% of the total PlayStation 4 consoles sold so far. By comparison, Sony's main competitor in the console market, the Xbox One has not had official sales number released in some time, though VGChartz estimates that they've sold approximately 30 million consoles. Microsoft is also planning to launch an improved version of their console, the Xbox One X this November.
