Smash Bros news from E3: Mii, Palutena, and Amiibo

    Nintendo continued their digital E3 event this year. Particular focus was given to the upcoming Smash Bros game coming to the Wii U and 3DS.

    Smash Bros will include Mii's as a playable characters. You can use three types of Mii: brawler, swordfighter, gunner, each with customizable movests. They also announced that Smash Bros on 3DS, which was previously announced to release this Summer, will be delayed until October. Nintendo announced another new playable character, Palutena from the Kid Icarus series.

    Nintendo also announced Amiibo for Smash Bros. Physical figurines which store data on your particular character. Villager, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Link, Mario, Wii Fitness trainer, Peach, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby are confirmed Amiibos. You can customize your Amiibo's stats, moves and level it up. Amiibos level up quickly by fighting other Amiibo. Mario Kart 8 and Mario Party 10 will also feature Amiibos at a later date. Also at a later date, Nintendo will create a peripheral which allows you to use Amiibos on 3DS.
