Microsoft E3: Announced Xbox One games

    Microsoft announced several upcoming titles during this year's E3 conference, including new releases, and release dates or more details for previously announced games.

    • Assassin's Creed Origins: The next installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise scheduled to release October 27, 2017 and in 4K on Xbox One X. This game takes place at the earliest point chronologically in the series at 49 BCE, and it goes over the origin story of the Brotherhood.
    • Black Desert Online: The MMORPG, previously exclusive to the PC will also be coming to Xbox One as a console exclusive in early 2018 with the title "Black Desert".
    • Crackdown 3: Crackdown 3, which was announced several years ago has finally been given a release date of November 7.
    • Cuphead: Cuphead, an Indie game which was announced during 2014 during E3 and is a game that resembles 1930s-era cartoons, was given a release date of September 29th on Windows 10 and Xbox One.
    • Dragon Ball Fighters: Microsoft gave us a first look at Dragon Ball's upcoming Fighting game. Unlike most of their most recent titles including Xenoverse and Budokai Tenkaichi, Fighters has a 2D fighting style and supports 3 vs. 3 battles, similar to Marvel vs. Capcom. A detailed character list has not been announced, but the trailer showed SSJ3 Goku, Majin Buu, Cell and Golden Frieza.
    • Forza Motorsport 7: During their E3 conference, Microsoft revealed Forza Motorsport 7, and stated that it would release on October 3 on PC and Xbox One. They also mentioned that the game would run at native 4K with 60FPS and contain more than 700 cars.
    • Life Is Strange: Before the Storm: A follow-up to the Life is Strange game was officially announced. It appears to be a three episode series, and the first episode is being released on August 31.
    • Metro: Exodus: Microsoft announced that the next game in the Metro series would be titled Metro: Exodus. The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in early 2018.
    • Minecraft: During the E3 conference, in addition to the 4K update patch, it was also revealed that Minecraft would receive cross-play compatibility between Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, and mobile. No news as to whether or not the PS4 version of Minecraft would also be cross-play compatible.
    • Sea of Thieves: Sea of Thieves, a pirate game from Rare which was previously scheduled to be released in 2017 has been delayed until 2018.
    • State Of Decay 2: The follow-up to 2013 Survival Horror game is now set to be released in Spring of 2018 on Xbox One and Windows 10. A gameplay trailer was also displayed which showed an increased emphasis on co-op play with others during online play.
