APERTURE SCIENCE WILL BE TESTING HOW YOUR TUMORS REACT TO THIS PRODUCT. If you didn't have any tumors when you walked it. That's okay. Those lead chairs you're sitting in took care of it.????M1???
BIT.TRIP BEAT is a nice little indie game that was released on the Wii quite some time ago and not too long ago on the PC. It is clearly a callback to retro gaming. What this game does is use a mix of old school graphics, n
ew school effects, and some music to provide a unique experience. But is it worth your time?
Graphics
BIT.TRIP BEAT's graphics are primitive. But that's part of the appeal in it. 3D models roaming in the background. They're not exactly state of the art but they are well

It makes me trip balls basically. I swear. I AM ****ING TRIPPING BALLS OVER HERE. The graphics are like acid man. This is a good thing. But as I said, it could be better. It's no where near perfect.
Sound
Remember when I said that this game's graphics makes you trip balls. Well so does the sound. Albeit, not as much, but it's there. Trust me on this though. The music is pretty cool to listen to.
Gameplay and Replay Value
There's a reason why I left this for last. The gameplay...
It's just pong.
I'm serious. This is just pong. Or breakout. Or both. Or Something
BUT IT'S PONG ON FREAKING ACID. Yes. I know. Gameplay is everything. And quite frankly, the gameplay is just barely average. But without the psychedelic music and graphics. This game would be nothing more than a difficult game of pong. Now a lot of you people will think that this is a bad thing. And, well you're right. This is bad. REALLY BAD. For the replay value anyways. This game you're probably not gonna want to play more than once. Unless you're a perfectionist and you want to compete on the Leaderboards.
But the question now is:
Is this game really worth $10?
Yes and no. The game is really good. But the it's also REALLY REALLY SHORT. And once you finish it, you may or may not feel like you got your money's worth. Similiar to how many people felt about
Portal.
