Improvements that Nintendo should work on the next Mario Kart Game

As you well know, Mario Kart has always been a big part of the Mario series. There are many things I love and hate about Mario Kart. I'll be putting some suggestions that they can improve on. Keep in mind I'm going to suggest improvements from Mario Kart Wii, not the older games. As you may know a new Nintendo console is planned for release next year. And you know for every new Nintendo console, there will be a new Mario Kart game. Here are some suggestions that I think should be in the next installment.

Take out the Thunder Cloud: We all know that this abomination is the most nuisance and redundant item in the game. If your internet is bad, then good luck passing this item to another player, because it will bounce right back to you even though it seems that you bumped them. Another thing is that if your in a 1 vs. 1 race, you'll occasionally get this item at second place. There's nothing worse than getting zapped by this in the last half of the last lap of the race.



Replace Blooper with the Boo:

The blooper is an item that sprays ink on the other players ahead of you. You'll usually get this item around 4th-7th place depending on how much people are in the race. It's really useless because the ink doesn't really affect the people online. There's no worse feeling then being in 4th or 5th place in the last lap and getting an item box only to get this crap as you see everyone in back passing you because they got what you wanted all along- a good item.



I personally think they should replace this item with the Boo item, which appeared in older Mario Kart Wii games. This item practically made you invisible which means you won't get hit by items in the road (it won't give you a speed boost like the star) also, Boo will steal an opponent's item and give it to you.



Spiny Shell Modifications:

Also known as the "Blue Shell" this is a nightmare for anyone in first place. But you'll usually get it when your in 4th or 5th. Why would you want to throw this if your 4th or 5th? Your actually helping the person in second get first. It would have been very useful if you were second or third. This is where the "modification" comes in. You know the Spiny Shell didn't always have wings. Before, the Spiny Shell will travel via ground, not air. Additionally it would knock out everything in its way and then home into first place. This will be much better because if your fourth and throw this Spiny Shell, you'll hit the first place as well as having a chance of hitting the people in second and third place.



No more teams in Battle: Got stuck in a team filled with noobs? Oh well, I guess your going to lose since the other people from the other team will get all their points off the noobs in your team. You'll never see someone with 9999 BR because of this. If you do see someone with that much BR, its like a 99.9% they are a cheater or they've gotten their points from one. So Nintendo, please take out teams in battle or better yet, have an option to join a Worldwide Battle with no teams, it'll be much funner and if you lose it'll be YOUR fault, not the other 3 people in your team that always runs into bananas and fake item boxes.



Private Room Options:

Ok a private room is used for a number of reasons like a Fun Room:(which is racing with your friends and stopping for items and try to hit them or it can be a Kart only GP, etc). War Room: Your clan and another one try to beat each other. 1 vs 1 compete with someone you know to see who's truly better. Ok this is the part I think the options mode should take place. It's a private room right? So the host should have to option to select the class (meaning the option to choose between 100cc, 150cc, and mirror) and trust me no one wants 100cc. Also have the option to change the items that appear. Like the aggressive items option will make items appear more as stars, spiny shells, and more. Another example is having the option to turn off the items (this will be useful for 1 vs 1). One last option is choosing who is in your team. This is a private room so in wars, you can select all the members of the same clan in one team while the other clan members can be in the other. And the funny thing is that all the suggestions I made on the Private Room options are available offline in Mario Kart Wii, not online.

Better Small and Medium Karts or Bikes:

Joined a pro room full of Funky Kong's and Flame Runners? Well if your using a small character or a medium character then good luck getting first. There should be better karts and bikes (if they even put bikes in the next installment) for smaller and medium weight characters. Because if you choose a small character, you'll get pushed and get out-speeded by the big boys (usually Funky Kongs).

I agree with all of these and found this post quite interesting, the one thing i see no need to change is the Spiny Blue Shell Modifications. Using it if you're an any place other than first is always gonig to be an advantage. So therefore I see no reason in modifying it. Other than when you send it through portals [like a cannon for example] it disappears and does no damage to the user in first place. They need to change it so it makes it through and does the same damage.

Although the blue shell is not my favorite, for I am in first place very often, I still think it is a trademark of Mario Kart and should NOT be taken out. It is the most hilarious thing when you are playing with another person in you basement and you get the blue shell and they're in first... But then there was that one time where I got it in 2nd place and then accidentally pressed Z when I got into 1st...
